After making successful films for the Yash Raj banner, Sanjay Gadhvi is all set to bid farewell to its Godfather production Co. and move onto another banner. With the termination of the three-film contract of Sanjay Gadhvi with the Yash Raj Films and will now join hands with the Ashtvinayak Films.
The news hasn’t gone well with Aditya Chopra whose reportedly upset over Gadhvi’s exit after the massive success of Dhoom 2. He has now signed Akshay for his next venture after 10 long years and Saif Ali Khan for another one, as both the actors have been considered by Sanjay Gadhvi for his film with the Ashtvinayak Films. There will be an evident clash of dates of the actors as they cannot commit completely to both the projects at the same time, though Sanjay had been working on his next film days before the release of Dhoom 2. As a result, Sanjay Gadhvi may have to back off for a little while before his plans for his next film grow to reality.
On the issue, Sanjay kept off from blaming the Yash Raj clan saying, “Aditya Chopra is like a family to me. Whatever I am today is because of Yash Raj Films and I am sure that I will never have fallout with them. If I am doing a film with Astavinayak, that doesn’t mean I have disassociated myself with Yash Raj. As far as my film is concerned, I have not decided the subject, cast and dates with Ashtavinayak.”
