Karan Johar to become the Indian Jay Leno in 2009
Indian filmmaker Karan Johar is being primed to become India’s answer to David Letterman and Jay Leno.
The middle-aged bachelor, who is famous for making super-hit films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, will take the helm for a weekday late-night talk show from the middle of next year; as soon as his next directorial My Name Is Khan wraps up its production.
Titled The Karan Johar Show, it will be similar in format to The Jay Leno Show and completely different from his last TV show, Koffee With Karan. Apart from having celebrities’ interviews in the one hour long programme, Karan will also include singing, dancing and comedy sketches.
