Bollywood’s new King Akshay Kumar and his film Singh Is Kinng has blasted away top Hollywood films at the UK Box Office.
Bringing you the news before any others, we here at RS can reveal that Akshay Kumar is truly the new King of Bollywood as he has now swept away Shah Rukh ‘much loved by UK audience’ Khan.
Singh Is Kinng has entered the UK Box Office charts at number 6 with total collection for it’s first week of release at $938,527. Being screened on just 50 meagre screens, that gave it the best average of the weekend… $18,771… surpassing giants The Dark Knight and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.
“Dragon Emperor” opened strongly, narrowly beating the third frame of “The Dark Knight” to top spot. “Dragon Emperor” took $8.4 million (including two days of previews) at 477 screens via Universal. “Dark Knight” reeled in another $7.8 million (at 509) towards a $66 million total haul.
This is one of the best openings ever for a Akshay Kumar film and firmly provided more evidence that Akshay Kumar is truly the new King of Bollywood.

ok this is stupid. how can the film thrash the DARK KNIGHT- one of
the best films ever made- when it’s on its third week and still at the top.
Akshay is good but for me akshay and shahrukh both have their
audiences. They are both very good actors and do you guys notice
that it is in fact BOLLYWOOD that is attracting more people. 2007-
DHOOM 2 was the biggest money making film; 2008- it was OSO
and now its Singh is Kinng (almost). So, its the actors choosing
the right scripts and hitting gold. The BO is going to get bigger and
bigger because its now a very competitive industry. SRK is bound to
be back with another blockbuster and the chain would follow. So, all
one can hope is that this kind of competitiveness actually brings in
even more global audience to the hindi film industry. phew! that was a speech and a half!LOL!
Akki is cool. But he has long way to go. SRK gave superhits in 1993, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. I cant recall Akki giving very many superhits prior to 2007. Can you? Yes, he gave good performance in movies like Hera Pheri et al. But none could classify Akki as a force to reckon with, until 2007.
I was dissapointed with this film. i didnt find it half as funny as Welcome and its no where near as good as the superb Namastey London.
the film is good… but u cannot compare akhsay with srk…akshay has a looong way to go if he wants to take srk throne…and u knw wht he is too late for it
hey toilet ka king tony, tera new king akshay hoga, lekin hamarey liye to srk hi king hai. idhar uk mein gorey se zyada punjabi hai, aur yeh film punjabion ko attract karne ke liye banaya tha aur yeh kamyab bhi hogaya attract karne mein. lekin mat bhulo ki iss film ne oso ka record nahin tod saka.
akshay the new king,he is beaten sharukh to king crown,”singh is king”is brilliant movie and this film has put akshay ahead od sharukh,the bollywood needed the change and akshay is truly no 1 position.

Akshay is a greatest actor in Bollywood. Nobody can’t copy him. He is the best allrounder in Bollywood. not only i think he is the king of bollywood in my country (Bangladesh) my friends, family, coligue everywhere i can see they like akshay and only akshay is the best.
anybody believe or not believe i believe that only Akshay is the real king in Bollywood. he build his carier not only one film not select a producer not select a director not select a big baner only his acting help him to come this greatest designation (King Kumar). I love him so much and not only this session i love him forever.
