The coveted filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is back to direct an offering and this time with his favourite genre of film ‘horror/suspense’. ASA Production and Enterprises Pvt Ltd presents this outing, which is produced by Surendra Sharma, Mrs Bhagwati Gabrani and Mrs Amita Bishnoi respectively. The star cast consists of Rajneesh Duggal, Adah Sharma, Raj Zutshi and Vipin Sharma. Bhatt’s 1920 is based in the era of 1920 and laced with the same ilk of horror and suspense feel, for which he is considered master. He tries to bring up the magic of ‘Raaz’ once again. Let’s wait to watch if he succeeds like the mega hit ‘Raaz’. Having a long list of films to his credit, Vikram Bhatt has nonetheless a few blockbusters to his filmography. Expectations are high with the upcoming, ‘1920’ since it follows the formula, with which Vikram can make big at the box office – the formula of making a flick based on suspense and horror.
Storyline:
The year is 1920. In the wilderness, there is a house that is isolated and has a secret along. The house is waiting for the curse to come true. This abode is a murderer since for many years, whoever bought it and tried to pull it down, died under strange circumstances. It seems as if the house has a will and a life of its own.
Arjun (Rajnesh Duggal) and his better half Lisa (Adah Sharma) move into this dwelling. He has been given the task of pulling it down and constructing a hotel on the land. Here the horror takes place…the haunting begins.
The eerie, strange and inexplicable events start oozing out. The curse says that they will not survive. The only thing they have that is true is the love they once shared, which is now under the shadow of doubt. Now, if they want to come out of this mysterious house alive, they will have to depend on the love and faith.
It is the curse versus their love.
Other Credits:
Vallab Vyas, Amin Haji, Ashish Pradhan, Smita Hai and Rushitaa Pandya also join the star cast. Singer composer of international repute Adnan Sami scores the music whereas Sameer writes the lyrics. Pravin Bhatt is the cinematographer. Manmohan D Singh is the executive producer. Abbas Ali Moghul dolls up the action sequences.
