Upen Patel to be honoured by the people of LA
British born Indian actor Upen Patel is to be honoured as the Grand Master at the Independence Day Parade in Los Angeles.
Talking about this coveted prize, Upen says, “It is a huge honour and it feels nice to be appreciated. It’s the biggest event for Indians in the States and I’m excited about being a part of it. The head of the Indian community in LA invited me to be the Grand Master this year. I couldn’t ask for more. After getting my dream house this is the right time to add to the happiness. I really want my mom to be with me, but she is tied up with work. Hopefully, if everything falls in place, she might join me in LA.”
Previous to Upen the honour has been conveyed upon Amitabh Bachchan, Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra.
