In a short span Atif Aslam has stormed Bollywood with three super hits – ‘Woh Lamhe’ in Zeher, ‘Aadat’ in Kalyug and ‘Tere Bin’ in Bas Ek Pal. He is undoubtedly popular all over the Asian diaspora and is now releasing his debut album ‘Doorie’ on Tips, which the company is betting as the biggest album of 2007.
The voice of Atif Aslam in ‘Woh Lamhe’ created such a impression on Kumar Taurani – chairman and managing director of Tips Industries Ltd said that he could not resist having Atif on his artist rooster.
Atif Aslam’s ‘Doorie’ has a collection of 18 tracks of which nine are remixes. The album is blend of Rock and Fusion. Atif has also composed and produced three tracks on the album – ‘Ehsaas’, ‘Mahi Ve’ and ‘Yakeen’. One of the tracks ‘Kuch is Tarah’ is produced by Mithoon and has lyrics by Sayeed Quadri, the combination, which has had the earlier hits of ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Aadat’ and ‘Tere Bin’.
In the nine original tracks, musician Sachin Gupta has traveled with his fusions brand all over the world. With Doorie he makes his debut as a composer / producer of six tracks. Gupta has also bagged projects with major artists like Apache Indian, Ahmed Jehanzeb, Alisha Chinai. He has even written the lyrics of the title track Doorie.
The CD come along with 16 page booklet about Atif. While the CD is priced at Rs 160, the cassettes are priced at Rs 50.
