Akshay Kumar is everywhere in the industry … yes, he is well in demand due to his superb skills of acting particularly his dexterity of enacting comedy. He is amongst the today’s highest paid actors of Bollywood. A real superstar in every sense of the word, Akshay is all set to entice his viewers with the upcoming ‘Singh is King’ and ‘Chandi Chowk to China’.
‘Chandi Chowk to China’ is the first Bollywood Kungfu comedy, which promises a super joy ride for its audiences. It takes the viewer on a wacky journey from Chandni Chowk in Delhi to Shanghai, the Great Wall of China and then to the rural areas of China. Laced with the hilarious gags, breath-arresting action sequences, stunning locales and the heart-stirring emotions, ‘CCTC’ is a treat altogether.
Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) cuts vegetables at a roadside food stall in Chandni Chowk in Delhi. He always yearns for evading from this monotonous place and looks for shortcuts with astrologers, tarot readers and fake fakirs. The good moment comes when the two strangers from China bump into and claim him as a reincarnation of a war hero in the past. They take him to China along. In China, Sidhu begins to dream of a life swathed with wine, gorgeous women and a leisure activities. He meets a devious translator, a conman named Chopstick (Ranvir Shorey). Sidhu does not know at all that he is being taken to the Promised Land to rid the Chinese village of the cruel smuggler named Hojo (Gordon Liu).
Sidhu and Chopstick wonderfully begin the journey of the country. Chopstick starts dreaming of a scrumptious future and utterly forgets to reveal the dangers, which await to Sidhu. During his journey, Sidhu meets Sakhi (Deepika Padukone), Ms. Tele Shoppers Media (Ms. TSM) who has begun her journey to pay tribute to the land of her birth and her dead father. Initially Hojo’s men beats Sidhu on his way but he manages to evade coincidently many a times. But finally Hojo catches him. He exposes Sidhu as a country buffoon. Sidhu gives birth to revenge in himself and then finds a man who trains him in the art of Kungfu so that he can then take revenge and set the village free. Getting laced with his faith in himself along with his master and the power of his love Sakhi, Sidhu fastens the belts to conquer.
Mukesh Talreja and Rohan Sippy are the financers of this film whereas Nikhil Advani directs it. Shankar Ehsan Loy compose the tunes. Bosco-Ceasor choreograph the dances. Sridhar Raghvan writes the script. The film is scheduled for October 24th release all over.
