Sridevi says NO to Yash Raj for comeback film
Now here is an interesting piece of news to tantalise your mind with, veteran actress Sridevi has said NO to powerhouse production house Yash Raj Films for a comeback flick.
Apparently, Anil Kapoor’s Bhaabi was approached by Yash Raj Films headman Yash Chopra for an engrossing love story, similar to their previous hits Chandni and Lamhe (both of which saw Sridevi at her best), and which would see her opposite legend Amitabh Bachchan. However, Sridevi politely said NO to the project.
A source says, “After a few days, Yash and Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor had a chat about this film. Boney told Yash that he too was keen to re-launch his wife Sridevi in his own production and it would be better if Yash cast some other actress instead.”
Now that was the official line… but the unofficial take is, “Sridevi is not happy with Yash Raj Films constant failures at the Box Office, bearing in mind that apart from Chak De India they have not had a hit for a good while now. She does not want to ruin her comeback in Bollywood by working with a production house that seems to have died away. Another veteran Bollywood actress, Madhuri Dixit also saw her comeback film (Aaja Nachle) flop miserably and now Sridevi doesn’t want to go the same way.”
Talking on this subject, Sridevi’s husband Boney has said, “Sridevi’s comeback film has to have an extraordinary subject. It can’t be a run of the mill story."

Boney is a Shrewd Businessman and he knows that the legacy and screen presence of his wife is still unmatched in bollywood.. so he will definately relaunch her entry in a GRAND scale…

Yash raj is playing safe bet, they know only Sridevi and Shah Rukh Khan are the stars who enjoys biggest fan following and are more saleable than any stars in bollywood, There name itself gives a big star appeal and both have done quality cinema, so play your bet Yash – and relaunch our Queen………

sridevi will rock weather it is a yash chopra or any other producer. we her fans want her back as she is the best no matter what films she acts in, she is the true superstar of all generation,
Sridevi is known for her wise decisions and we should admire her as her comeback movie will have huge expectations. Boney will definitely launch her in a dream project which will have a strong impact on sri’s comeback. Let us keep our fingers crossed to see under which banner she will work. Sridevi will not bank the box office if unless yash raj make plan to have SRK in the film. With BIG B it will be super flop. GOOD decession Sridevi.
Sridevi can have all the Khans working opposite her…such is the legendary status she enjoys……so why play the lead opposite Amitabh who does not guarantee box office returns and looks very old.. and sri is glowing day by day… watched her at premiere of JTYJN and she is still the Original DIVA…….
Its good thing sri told no to Yash Raj , she is not that old to act and pair opposite Big B , its looks sad , Good that sri told “NO”, I want Boney or Yash to re launch our Diva opposite Amir Khan ..wow that will be a dream come ture

Sridevi can do movie with BigB even.. y not.. may be BIGb can’t give guarantee for boxoffice but sri can.. so she can go ahead.. she has to listen the story first.. all the best sri..
