On the whole, direction is average. Gururaj’s cinematography is class. Action choreography is superficial. Some of the stunts have never been on the Indian celluloid. Screenplay is loose.
Actingwise, Zayed Khan is good. Yes, the actor comes up with his best performance till date. Vivek Oberoi is a true pain to watch. He sports the age old grin on his face that keeps the charm away from him. Sunil Shetty is awful in his brief appearance.
Shreya Saran’s character is not effectively built. Hence, there is nothing much to say about her performance. Nikitin Dheer, who grabbed eyeballs with his performance in Jodhaa Akbar, does a marvelous job in Mission Istaanbul. He is the real bull in the film.
Overall, Mission Istaanbul’s bullish promos will attract the action flick lovers to the theatres.
