Turkish commando Rizwan Khan (Vivek Oberoi) warns him about the consequences of leaving the place as it may lead to the rise of his last breath.
The film takes its own time to establish the characters which relate to the existing state of Istaanbul. However, the element of fakism soon takes the place of realistic cinema and the viewer is bombarded with a dose of high quality stunts and Bollywoodish drama.
The plot moves from India to Turkey and then to Afghanistan, confusing the small time viewers. The first half is laced with incidents which are effective in parts but the second half of the movie is nothing less than an age old combat game where heroes turn to bash up every villain in their efforts to save the nation.
Mission Istaanbul does not offer much for the music lovers. Jo Ghumshuda is a well composed track and provides some relief amidst the action packed stunts.
