After Amitabh Bachchan, producer Gaurang Doshi has retained master of comedy Paresh Rawal from the original star cast of Aankhen in his next, Aankhen 2.
The sequel will star three additional heroes and will go on the floors, even as the shooting of Doshi’s other production, Happy Birthday, continues.
“Aankhen 2 is not a sequel. I would prefer to call it an Aankhen series. I want the series to continue till the audience accepts it. There will be no blind robbers in part two. I can’t disclose the story, but this movie will be much better and bigger than the first one.”
Vipul Shah, who had directed the first part of Aankhen, will not be directing this one. “The budget for this film will be much bigger than the one for the first,” says Doshi.
