EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
No one other than Ram Gopal Varma comes close to exploring the various facets of the underworld through his films. The director means business, and he starts off with his task of presenting a new insight on the underworld with his new film – Contract.
The film is not the best on underworld offered from the kitty of Ram Gopal Varma. His attempt to imbibe a new zeal of terrorism in the storyline does not manage to reach the ultimate level nor does it fall flat. However, the movie fails to grip the audience in his narration as it uses the same dark formula of presenting a serious tale. Ram Gopal Varma uses new faces to present the same old greyscales of the underworld.
The story of Contract revolves around a person (Adhvik Mahajan) who is placed amidst the deadly world of underworld to eliminate the core step by step. The addition of revengeful stint of the protagonist slightly loosens the plot and a lot of issues are messed around instead of forming a concrete base.
