Somehow, Raj Malhotra’s life comes back on the right track and bags a high-esteemed project from number one builder Sanjeev Gill (Om Puri). In the process, Raj takes Priya into confidence and saves her from her flirty fiancé, played by Amit Verma.
The chemistry between Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapur works and that’s because of their acting calibre. While agewise Vidya gives a few glimpses of being Shahid’s aunty, in totality they manage to impress with a well scripted storyline.
Aziz Mirza follows a simple pattern of tried and tested formula, seen in his earlier flicks like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and Chalte Chalte. The boy is trying to make big in life and is looking for the right note to hit.
Cinematography and art direction are eye-pleasing. Editor Amitabh Shukla could have done a better job. Screenplay is quite loose and the movie never seems to grip you in its moments.
Musicwise, Kismat rocks bigtime. Aai Paapi is the best in its full version and the thumping beats heard in Dolby Surround sound can make you start dancing, to say the least. Choreographer Ahmed Khan has done wonders with this track along with actor Shahid Kapur who has executed the steps terrifically.

I loved the movie. I have a feeling it is one of the movies which grows on you
and you like more with a second watch. I am going for a second show. I think Shahid is terrific!!! I really enjoyed its simplicity and decency. So sick and tored of half naked heroins doing raunchy numbers, great to see feel-good cinema.
waste of time money
