Mani Ratnam’s much awaited release of 2007, Guru, will have its first viewing in the Canadian city of Toronto. Guru will premiere at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre in January next year. The Toronto premiere will be held a day before the film’s world wide release.
The movie’s release rights have been acquired by the Canadian Roger Nair Production company which is organising the Guru’s Toronto premiere. The premiere will be attended by the director, producer and casts of Guru. Apart from Ash and Abhi, the movie stars Vidya Balan , Madhavan and Mithun Chakraborty .
Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai starrer Guru is already generated a lot of hype and anticipation due to its catchy and melodious soundtrack composed by ace musician A.R. Rahman. The movie has Ash in a much deglamorised role of a village girl who’s married to a villager who makes it big in the big and bad world of city. The story revolves around the rise and fall of Abhishek’s character, the protagonist Guru and his love interest, his wife played by Aishwarya herself.
