The year 2006 will be remembered as one of the most successful years for the Bollywood business and in terms of the quantum of Blockbuster, super hit and hit movies. But, with Rang De Basanti giving a good start to the year and the success being continued by Fanaa in mid-year and then by Dhoom 2 and Vivaah, 2006 needs a good ending also. The releases for the last two weeks of the year have a lot at stake along with its apt completion.
The confirmed releases for the last two Fridays of 2006 are:

22nd Dec release: Bhagam Bhag: It is by far the most hyped movie of Priyadarshan. The amount of marketing done through internet, print and electronic media is simply incredible. The movie will release next Friday, i.e., December 22nd. It is tipped as the last biggie to go through the box office litmus test. The immense hype created around this Govinda and Akshay Kumar starrer will definitely give a rocking start to this comedy and also for the gaining popularity of its music among the people. So, want to see Govinda tickle your funny bone again but with a new style? Then, buy a nice cosy seat for this release as you might just get late because of the anticipation around it.

29th Dec releases: The Friday will witness the head-on tussle between not one, not two, but four movies at the end game of the year. Arjun Rampal’s first production venture I See You will knock at the ticket window with an interesting plot and average music. Amur Bitola’s female-oriented movie Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana starring the classy Rekha, Mahima Choudhary, has been in the news for long now and is also among the last to-be-released films of the year. Manisha Koirala’s brother Siddhartha Koirala will make his debut opposite Nausheed Cyrusi in Manish Jha’s slightly controversial Anwar. Lastly, the other release for the last week of 2006 is a true story in the form of Nazim Rizvi’s Undertrial.

So, before bidding good bye to 2006, take a look at these forthcoming releases as well.
