Bombay distributor Yusuf of Hum Films has acquired the re-issue rights of Rajkumar Kohli’s 1970s Jaani Dushman for the Bombay circuit.
Confirming the development, he says, “I have blown up the film into cinemascope with ultra modern Dolby Digital sound system. I will be releasing the new version on 29 December with eight new prints.”
Jaani Dushman was last released in 1979. The film stars Sunil Dutt, Sanjeev Kumar, Sahtrughan Sinha, Vinod Mehra, Rekha and others. Rajkumar Kohli had further released another film on the same title, Jaani Dushman – Ek Anokhi Kahani in 2002. It had Sunny Deol, Akshay Kumar, Manisha Koirala, Sunil Shetty and others.
