Nari Hira’s Magna Publications has ventured into film production with Bhram. Directed by Pawan Kaul, the film is a drama about relationships and revolves primarily around three characters played by Dino Morea, Milind Soman and debutant Sheetal Menon.
Prior to Bhram, Morea paired with director Kaul for Sssshhh in 2003. Talking about Bhram, Morea says, “I play the role of an investment banker for my brother business. My brother is 12 years older to me and I look up to him as my father because I don’t have parents in the film.”
He further adds, “My character in the film tries to change the perspective of a girl who is completely disillusioned with men. The film deals with today and our youth.”
When quizzed why he opted for the film, he promptly replies, “Pawan’s story, Bhavani’s screenplay and Magna’s production.”
Debutant Menon plays Dino’s love interest in the film. It’s been Sheetal’s childhood dream to be an actress so she brushed up her skill at Anupam Kher’s academy for three months. Prior to this Menon has modeled for various fashion shows and advertisements. Incidentally in Bhram too she plays a model. “In the film I play a super model and since I am cynical about men and life I also take to drugs. It’s something that many girls feel in today’s times,” she says. She has already signed her next film, which is for White Feather Films’ Dus Kahaniya.
Bhram is 80 per cent complete and will release by mid 2007.
