American based writer Salman Rushdie has invited sex-pot actress Riya Sen for a weekend of love and affection, but the girl has yet to make up her mind.
Says a source, “Riya is indeed thrilled to get the invitation but is worried about what kind of picture this might show to the rest of the world. She is more than willing to spend a few days with Salman but has reservations about his playboy lifestyle tarnishing her Indian image.”
The two met up when Rushdie visited India in January, where they spent some nights enjoying the clubbing lifestyle. Since then they have been in contact with each other over the phone and email. When contacted, Riya said, “Yes, I have been invited. Rushdie and I are in regular touch.”
Rushdie himself has had an array of women on his shoulder, from literary agent Clarissa Luard, writers Robyn Davidson and Marianne Wiggins, and of course the beautiful Indian Padma Lakshmi.
