Sanjay Dutt and his daughters Trishala have had an emotional reunion, a magazine has reported.
In an exclusive interview, carried in new publication People, Trishala has revealed that she went down to the Bahamas to meet up with her estranged father while he was there shooting. "You remind me of my youth. I love you beta," were Sanjay’s first words to the daughter he had not seen for a long time.
The two spent some hours together, during which Trishala explained to her father her desire to act in Bollywood films. "He seems to be happy and if he is happy, then I’m happy for him. If he found what he needs in her (Manyata), then that’s great," said Trishala. It had been widely reported in the press that Trishala was upset with her father for getting married to Manyata.
Because of Sanjay’s legal troubles he has been unable to get a visa to travel to USA, where Trishala lives with her maternal family. Trishala is the daughter of the late actress Richa Sharma, Sanjay’s first wife. Richa died of cancer on December 10, 1996 and Trishala has always lived with her aunt (mother’s sister Enna) and her grandparents in Bayside, Queens, New York.
