This week Bollywood has seen the introduction of two new faces… Harman Baweja and Imran Khan. Both come from film-making families and both have been hugely promoted. A lot is expected from the two, but which one will make it… or will both of them fail… let’s take a look at their debut performances to shed more light.
First up Harman, or should we call him a Hrithik Clone… because the guy has tried to imitate the great Roshan and done nothing else in Love Story 2050. The look, the clothes, the dance, everything is a cheap version of the original. Not only that, but Harman has even copied Hrithik’s voice… Now we would let him of with this sin only if he could act… and boy he sure can not do that. He may be raw and require experience, but watching him pains you to no extent…
Now Imran… well he is the exact opposite of Harman. You fall for his boyish look, his acting is natural, and by the end of the film… you become an Imran fan. He has no muscles to boast about, his dancing is pretty routine and he lacks that extra sex appeal… but we all know that in Bollywood it is talent and not looks that help you succeed… Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor are no sex-gods yet they have proven themselves. Now I won’t go to say that Imran is ‘that’ kind of actor, he still has a lot to learn, but he sure has promise.
For me Imran Khan is a hit while Harman Baweja has flopped. i love imran khan acting…and for harman he sulks and i think he should choose another career for him…
Like Maamaa Like Bhanjah….IMRAN is original like Aamir .
Personally for me, I went into both theatres with an unbiased mind, hoping to see two debutantes battle it against each other. While Harman fell flat on his face, Imran clearly emerged the true winner. He suited the role to the T - now whether it was tailor made for him or he acted Ratz out is indiscernable. On the other hand, Harman, despite declaring that he was infuriated with the comparisons being drawn between himself and Hrithik, accentuated on the similarities between himself and Hrithik throughout the movie. I don’t give a rats ass about the fact that he looks like Hrithik (IMHO, Hrithik looks MUCH better; Harman, not so much.) but when he starts to do everything in his power to imitate Hrithik short of sticking a prosthetic thumb on his right hand - that makes him much less appealing to me. In the vernacular, Harman truly sucked. He has no talent to display and even though he’ll get offers since he’s a director’s son - he’s no actor. On the contrary, Imran shows great potential - Aamir’s nephew is here to stay!
I was right! I knew that Lovestory is going to be a flop. Because people are addicted on films that have no meaning at all. They only like films that include saas-bahu topics, friends who obously will fall in love, the great war between a husband and wife and so on. If a mature director like Harry Baweja has tried do come with a lil bit different film, then people start saying that the film is flopped. Because it hasn’t got that masala they want. Most of the films in bollywood are only about love,friendship and problems.. No wonder why europeen people like Hollywood movies better… Why? Because Hollywood comes with different films!!!! If a hollywood director makes scince fiction movie,then people,especially indian people, start saying that Waah! Kya film thi! Indians must learn somethin from this! But if an indian directs it, then people start saying that, Ish!, Kya bakwaas film thi! It hasn’t got any story!
Im gonna watch Love Story 2050 for sure!!!!
And btw, I feel that Imran Khan looks like Jugal Hansraj, from Muhabbatein.. They both are cute, they look similar, etc.. Should I cann Imran Khan for a copycat now? No! Because each actor do come across comparissons!.. When Shahid became popular after doin’ Jab we met, people started to say that he was very similar to Shahrukh Khan. But he isn’t! He doesn’t look like him either!!! We all know that Shahrukh is a briliant actor, and Hritik is a perfect dancer. If a newcomer does good work, why do we call him a copycat? If a newcomer tries to dance good, and become popular by his steps, why do we say that he is a copycat?!
How can people say that Harman is not a actor?! Have u guys your eyes in the future or something?! Are u people astrologes or sumthing?!
Weird that people decide about debutants right after their first film!!
Both of the debutants, Harman and Imran are here to stay!!!

I saw Lovestory2050 and totally loved it. It wuz harman’s first film so his acting wusnt polished and all good but still his effort was gr8!!!! He dances and luks like hrithik thts all!! his voice is lyk a typical indian boy unlike hrithik who has a real classy and stylish voice!!!. and he dusnt act like hrithik!!! hrithik is just a perfect actor!!! I find this whole article baseless!!! Im still on harmans side!!! hes cute though and completely sweet!!! just like priyanka!
when it comes to acting, then imran is the clear winner!!!

I agree with Salman. I saw LS 2050 yesterday and i loved it! It was Harman’s first film and he proved to be the next superstar. I don’t know why people say that he copied Hritik Because Hritik is a perfect actor, how can one say that a debutant copied a superstar?! Its rubbish!
I LOVED Harman’s perfomance, and they both(Harman&Priyanka)looked very good togheter.!

I luved LS2050 and harman is terrific. he’s mindblowing. am carzzy bout him….he’s sizzlin hot. he dances oh gawd even better den hirthik……havne’t seen imran’s movie and prolly won’t see it either…..his face looks like he’s got a hangover or sometin……looks so down…..if his movie’s hit wuy he looks so sad and stuff…..oh maybe dats just his looks…..nywayzzzzzz HARMAN BAWEJA ROCKS………..he’s my hero…….luv him
