EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Aa Gaya Hun Mein (Singer: KK) Rating: 4/10
The soundtrack of the much hyped Love Story 2050 starts off with a weak track Aa Gaya Hun Mein which leaves the composition, rendition and lyrics in an impactless place. The track lacks the grip which a melodious composition is expected to offer.
Lover Boy (Singer: Alisha Chinoy) Rating: 3/10
Looks like Anu Malik has used his age-old compositions to depart the Bollywood flight of newcomer Harman Baweja. Lover Boy is a terrible track whose lyrics written by Javed Akhtar are absolutely pathetic. The music is westernized but overall feel of the track is unbearable.
Mausam Achanak (Singer: Shaan, Alka Yagnik) Rating:5/10
Rendered by Alka Yagnik and Shaan, Mausam Achanak is a sweet romantic number that has been set on the sounds of the 70s. The melody of Mausam Achanak does not bore for a second, nor does it influences to go for a second hearing.
Milo Na Milo (Singer: Shaan) Rating: 8/10
The best part about Milo Na Milo is its music and choreography, which is already keeping the eyeballs glued on the promos. The science fiction kind of sound included in the rhythm reflects the mood of the film which is set in 2050.
Meelon Ka – Part 1 (Singer: KK, Alka Yagnik) Rating: 8/10
One of the best tracks of the album, Meelon Ka is a composition to look out for. With mesmerizing lyrics and echoing orchestra, Meelon Ka walks the extra distance.
Meelon Ka – Part 2 (Singer: KK, Alka Yagnik) Rating: 8/10
Again, this version of Meelon Ka is not much different from the first part, only that the rendition by KK and Alka Yagnik is slightly restricted as both of them end the notes without pitching them further. An out and out romantic number from the kitty of Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar. Hear it out!
Sach Kehna (Singer: Kunal Ganjawala) Rating: 6/10
Sach Kehna is an average number which is quite Bollywoodish in terms of composition. By getting Kunal Ganjawala to sing this song, Anu Malik has tried to bring a difference in the playback of Harman Baweja. The peppy track will go well with the video, but not otherwise.
Love Story – Part 1 (Singer: Shaan)
Rating: 6/10
The culmination to the album of Love Story 2050 comes with the two parts of Love Story track sung by Shaan. A slow track which manages to create an aura of love with its melody. Love Story is a well written track with decent score by Anu Malik and effective singing by Shaan.
Love Story – Part 2 (Singer: Shaan) Rating: 4/10
The sad version of Love Story does not boast of loud pain but it not deliver the best that could have come out. Overall, a track which will pass by when it is shown on the silverscreen.
