Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapur) is a talented architect who has done brilliantly in academics as well as extra curricular activities. However, luck does not favour Raj’s sky high ambitions as he struggles to find that one big opportunity that could change his life.

Somehow, Raj is bitten by the feeling that his ‘kismet’ is not favouring him and his belief is further deepened by the words of future-teller Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla) who tells him about the lucky charm that he needs to fin in order to get his stars right in place.

Raj now clashes with Priya (Vidya Balan). Priya is a lady filled with oomph and optimism. She wants to make the world a better place to live.Their initial meetings aren’t that sweet as something goes wrong whenever they cross each others roads.

Somehow, Raj Malhotra’s life comes back on the right track and bags a high-esteemed project from number one builder Sanjeev Gill
(Om Puri). In the process, Raj takes Priya into confidence and saves her from her flirty fiancé, played by Amit Verma.
