Aamir Khan could become Guru Dutt for biopic
Indian newspapers are reporting that Aamir Khan has been approached to portray the role of renowned Indian director Guru Dutt in a film about his life.
Being planned by ad filmmaker Shivindra Singh Dungarpur, who is best known for the Titan advertisements with Aamir Khan, a script for the film has been commissioned. But, Aamir will not say yes to it until he sees the final version of it. A source says, “Shivindra is a big fan of Guru Dutt has already registered the title of his film as Guru Dutt. Currently, he is busy doing research on the late filmmaker.”
The source added, “He met Aamir Khan for the title role but Aamir in his quintessential style asked him to get back only when the entire script was ready.”
What are your thoughts and views on this film and do you believe that Aamir Khan is right actor to portray the legendary Bollywood film maker on the big screen? Would another actor do better in the role…? We would love to hear your views. Please use the comments section below for your feedback.

Firstly, Shivinder Singh Dungarpur has done great work not only for Titan, but for Pepsodent, Havell, SBI Life, HSBC, Vim, Rin etc.
Secondly, why should Guru Dutt be left alone. Those of us who are old enough to have seen his work, or know about his life, are privileged enough, and have experienced his passion and creativity. Why not let it be experienced by today’s youth.
Thirdly, I have great respect for Amir as an actor. I think if he accepts the role, he could do justice to it. It all depends on the script.
Other actors- Sharukh – too monotonous and predictible
Abhishek – too tall
Saif – a possibility
Irfan Khan, K K Menon, other non big commercial heroes?
There are too many ifs as of now, will Amir accept the film, will Shivinder make a good film, how good is the script……
Give them a chance. It needs courage to take up such a character and to make a movie on him in today’s Multiplex culture.
I for one would love to see a movie on Guru Dutt – with Amir or whoever.
I wish them all the best.
