Then there is a twist in the tale, when they five go to Vidarbha and witness the game played by a self-centered moneymakers. Adding to all this, is a love story and the cut in this palette is the inclusion of naxalites. Phew! All this obvious takes the movie to an unbearable length of three hours.
Director Suhail Tatari has shot almost 10 unnecessary scenes in the film and the inclusion of truly disastrous songs was also a bad idea. The film leaves many questions unanswered about important characters who went on to build up the tragic tale.
Bobby Bose’s editing is horrible. Atarsingh Saini’s cinematography is croppy and works in patches.
Actingwise, Sikander Kher is a remarkable actor getting involved in wrong projects. Gul Panag gives a good performance. Uvika is okay. Arjan Bajwa is efficient. Alakh Sangal sprouts up a solid performance.
Ashutosh Rana is fantastic. Sachin Khedekar is okay.
Overall, Summer 2007’s fate at the box office is minimal and the film is bound to sink without a trace.
