Govinda took extended family to Bangkok
If you all thought that the IIFA event was all about the Bachchan family then you are mistaken… Apparently, the IIFA is a place to take your whole extended family to and that is exactly what chubby actor Govinda did.
The comedy specialist was seen at many events last weekend with over 15 family members. According to sources present, “Govinda arrived at the IIFA with his near and dear ones in tow. Along with his immediate family, tagged along an entire group of nieces, nephews, cousins and so on. He arrived a day prior to the event and landed in the hotel where all the stars were put up.”
The source further adds, “The IIFA preparations were done months in advance and rooms were allocated to the celebs accordingly. All the biggies were put up in the same hotel. Govinda too was given his room in the same hotel. But when he turned up with his relatives, the organisers didn’t know how to accommodate so many people in the same hotel.”
“Govinda was one of the performers and therefore could not be slighted. The organisers somehow managed to find them rooms in the same hotel. They had to move some technicians out and lodge Govinda’s parivaar in their rooms,” says an insider.
Govinda says, “I was very excited performing at IIFA. After a long time, I was doing a show with such a huge crowd of my fans. It was too much fun.”
About turning up at the IIFA with his family members he says, “My group included my wife, my kids, my make-up man, my spot boy. If I had to take along other family members, I’d have taken loads of people, why so less? I did hear people talking about me getting my family of 10-15 people along. Why 10-15, I would have got 40-50!”
