Asha Bhonsle to colour Spain and Portugal
Bollywood legend Asha Bhonsle is to perform in Spain and Portugal, it has been confirmed.
The 75-year-old singer is expected to sing Spanish and Hindi numbers during the Ctregana music festival in Madrid. “Apart from the Spanish songs, I have chosen some Hindi songs also. I will sing some fast classical drama songs composed by my father (late Pt Dinanath Mangeshkar) so that they get a glimpse of our rich musical heritage,” Asha said.
“My son (Anand) informs me about a concert 10 days in advance and I generally prepare for two to three days. This time a newcomer is accompanying me and I think it is necessary to give the new generation a solid platform,” she said.
We can also reveal that Asha Bhonsle sung Rang De, has been chosen by Hollywood studios Paramount Pictures for film which will star Uma Thurman.
