Saif Ali Khan’s over-protectiveness of girlfriend Kareena Kapoor has taken a further twist… we can now reveal that the two had a major tiff during the IIFA main event in Bangkok over the weekend.
Says an industry insider, “A Pakistani guy was waiting near Kareena Kapoor’s van to get an autograph from the couple. Saif arrived at the event at about 6 pm and went straight into the van and was there with Kareena for about three hours. This Pakistani fan, who was waiting outside, heard Saif complaining to Kareena about her outfit she was planning to wear for her performance. Kareena kept on pacifying Saif asking him not to make an issue of it. The actor, it is learnt, did not want Kareena to wear a revealing outfit for her performance at the event.”
Kareena did not listen to Saif and went and performed in the outfit. After the performance, the two of them returned to the van. Adds an insider, “Saif stepped out of the van after some time, Kareena followed him and was seen pleading to Saif to stay back but the actor did not care. He got into the car and left.”
Apparently, Saif was not expected to be at the event and his arrival stunned Kareena. When she was quizzed about Saif’s arrival, Kareena made a sarcastic remark, “So sweet of him naa, he is coming all the way from London for me.”
