Close on the heels of the release of Baabul, BR Films has already started the shooting of its next, Bhootnath.
The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Juhi Chawla, Satish Shah and Rajpal Yadav and will also have Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo. Bhootnath is being directed by Vivek Sharma, and it marks the first time that a director outside the B R Films’ camp will be wielding the baton for them.
“Vivek has tremendous potential and could well be the most sought after director after the release of Bhootnath,” says producer Ravi Chopra. “This movie is targeted at the family audience.”
Chopra says that he is going to approach yesteryear superstar Mithun Chakraborty to do an item number in Bhootnath. “I am going to approach him personally for this special song, which will be picturised on him and Amitabh. It will be shot in a unique way. I am confident that this song will be one of the highlights of the film,” says Chopra.
If Chakraborty agrees to do the song, it will be the first time after 16 years, since Yash Johar’s Agneepath, that Mithun Chakraborty and Amitabh Bachchan will share the same screen space.
