Nazim Rizvi, who produced Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, the Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerjee starrer, is back in action.
He will release Under-Trial on 29 December 2006. The film stars Rajpal Yadav, Monica Castilino, Mukesh Tiwari, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra, Protima Kazmi, Rajesh Puri and Sambhavna Seth.
Rizvi, a much-relieved man (he was arrested on 13 December, 2000 for his underworld connections, and jailed for three years and 13 days before being let off on bail) says, "I have made two films. One is Under-Trial, directed by Aziz Khan and the other is Hello… Hum Lallan Bol Rahein Hain, directed by Dilip Shukla, starring Rajpal Yadav and others. The former is budgeted at Rs 20 million (Rs 2 crore) and the latter is made at Rs 15 million (Rs 1.5 crore). I am releasing the film myself on 29 December under my banner Whispering Shadows Entertainment, through the assistance of other distributors in Bombay and many other circuits."
Rizvi adds, "Under-Trial is based on the true story of a man from Lucknow, who is accused of raping his three daughters. The film is based my experiences in jail, where I met various people. I have shot this film at the Thane jail, where I was lodged."
He further informs, "Next year, I will release Hello… Hum Lallan Bol Rahein Hai. After that, I will start a big budget film."
