EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI

Unlike Sarkar, which was inspired from Francis Ford Coppola’s film ‘Godfather’, Sarkar Raj is an original script. The script draws no similarity from ‘Godfather 2’, which conceptualized the idea of son taking over the mafia business after the death of his father.

The film captures the political surroundings of rural Maharashtra and Delhi. The plot highlights the performances of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan whereas Amitabh Bachchan character takes a backseat from the prequel.

After the disaster of RGV Ki Aag, Ram Gopal Varma did not reveal much about this film and worked hard towards his script, which is a suave product altogether.

Subash Nagare ‘Sarkar’ (Amitabh Bachchan) is approached by the CEO of an international company Sheppard Power Plant Anita (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). After convincing Sarkar, his son Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) starts his ground work along with Anita, trying to analyse the benefits of the project.
