I just got home after watching the movie and here is my Review:D
I was really excited about this movie and wanted to watch it today only; I just could not wait until tomorrow also. I was worrying for the past one week about how to get to the cinema and finally I could make it. And was it worth all the worrying; YAY it was!! But only and only because of Salman.
Story:
Mr. Balraj Kapoor(AB) is a rich business man who enjoys a happy life with Biwi Shobana(Hema Malini) and Buddy his son Avinash(Salman Khan). One day Avinash meets the chashmish Millie and falls in love with her and the two get married and are blessed with a cute lil baby boy who is named Ansh. Everything is fine and everyone is happy but fate plays a cruel role and Avinash dies in an accident. While Balraj and Shobana try to find they lost son in their grandson Ansh on the other hand Millie is totally shattered. So, Balraj not able to see her suffereing decides to get her married to her childhood friend Rajat(John Abraham). But everyone is against his decision even his wife Shobana.
Storywise the movie did not have anything to offer I mean it was the same old thing.
The Direction was good.
Music:
The music was good. Infact I like the songs even more now after watching the movie.
The AB version of Kehtha Hai Baabul is amazing. I quiet did not like the song before but after watching the movie I like it.
Vaada Raha: The picturisation was good. Salman was really cute
Come On Come On: It would be nice if they had the remix version instead of the original. The original is slow for a song like that. But overall I liked it Salman and AB rocked. They were adorable as father and son.
Har Manzhar: John looked Hot in this song
Bebasi Dard: It was just ok, nothing great.
Ga Re Mann: AB, Rani and Hema were good. Actually even this song I like it after seeing the movie.
Vaada Raha(sad version): Rani was amazing in the song. Her emotions and expressions were just perfect.
Performances:
AB: I say the movie belongs to him. He was amazing as the loving husband, friendly father and caring father-in-law or should I say a father of a daughter.
Hema Malini: She was good but she hardly anything to do.
Salman Khan: Ahhhh…Avinash Kapoor . Salman was just too good. Loved him totally as the wacky quirky Avinash kapoor. And I like how he remained the same even when he got married and also when he became a father. He was really cute in the movie.
And the two scenes with his son are so cute. They were absolutely adorable
Rani Mukherjee: I quiet don’t like Rani but I must say in this movie she was good
John Abraham: John’s character was poorly written. I mean his character made no sense to me places. And to be really honest I think John did not suit for the role of Rajat at all.
Om Puri: I did not like his character at all. I really hope we don’t have people like his character in this world today:P. But I just loved Salman’s expressions when Om Puri was around
Overall it was ok. The first half which completely belonged to Salman, Rani and a lil bit of AB, it was really good. But after Salman died I thought John’s presence would make it up for him but NOPE. The second half was dragging and I was litreally waiting for Salman to come onscreen again:P
On a scale of 5, I would give it 3/5.
