Aishwarya Rai refused to play an American slut
We here at RS have learnt that Aishwarya Rai refused a pivotal part in Karan Johar’s Dostana, because her character is of a slut.
In the film, Aishwarya was expected to romance (and quite probably bed) 3 different men. She would initially be introduced in the film as the girlfriend of Abhishek Bachchan’s character, but would then move onto his close mate John Abraham. After a heated affair between the two, which would have seen a few steamy scenes, Ash would be walking of with yet another bloke. This time Bobby Deol.
The Bachchan Bahu wasn’t happy to show herself in a man-eater image and the role subsequently went to Priyanka Chopra. Dostana is near to completion is scheduled for a release later this year.
“an American slut”? Since when does one’s birthplace determine how “slutty” he/she is? Sluttiness has no nationality. Why not “Aishwarya refused to play a loose woman”? Or maybe the title was a way of making people click on the link, in which case you succeeded. Still, I don’t like the implication that all American-born women are sluts.

What will you call Kareena who ditched Shahib and without even telling him about break-up, started an affair with another loose guy. Poor Shahid kept making plans for her b’day.

If Ash is a man-eater then we have to create a new term for other bollywood actresses.
I want to ask you…..don’t you have any man in your life? If later on you find that he is not suitable for you ( he beats you up) then will you stay with him forever?
