Maayka’s Soni decides enough is enough
Controversial TV actress Shilpa Shinde has revealed that she will not be extending her contract for Zee serial Maayka.
Shilpa, who plays the pivotal role of Soni in the popular drama, does not want to stereotyped… hence she will try her hand at some different roles. Shinde states, “I know Maayka is a hit serial. But I don’t want to get typecast like Prerna, Tulsi and Parvati. I want to quit while the serial is still popular… so that I’m remembered as a heroine of a hit rather than a boring flop. Like it or not, a serial becomes one big yawn when it is stretched beyond a point. Enough is enough.”
If the character of Soni is recast, then this would be the third time it has been done… within a year.

I am not surprised by her decision. Plus, with (Vineet Raina) character being knocked off the show it has lost some appeal – at least for me. Besides, how long can they make Shilpa/Soni keep crying on Maakya before she either becomes permanently dehydrated or becomes allergic to her own tears. Jeesssh, enough already!
This show is becoming soooooo boring. Viewers are beginning to think the director and producer are retards…..!!!
I love this show! Its so interesting. Can’t stop watching it.
