Rani defends herself after media speculation
Bollywood sultress Rani Mukherji has gone on record to defend herself against allegations of her living a life of a recluse.
“I am perceived to be as a recluse which I am not. I am a family oriented person and I like to spend time with my family when I am not working,” Rani told reporters in Mumbai a few days ago. “Just because I keep to myself after shooting and not seen at places where the media normally goes, one can’t have such preconceived notions. I like playing with my two-year-old neice Myesha when I am free.”
The Bengal babe spoke to the media while promoting her soon to be released magical flick `Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’, at a city-based orphanage.
What are your thoughts on this story… do you agree with Rani’s explanation on why she keeps away from the limelight or do you believe the speculations that she is indeed a recluse? Would you like to see Rani more in the public eye of less? Please use the comments section below for your feedback.

it’s refreshing to see an actress not catering to the media or trying to hog the limelight. i always beleived her to be unique and exquisite. simply because she is the most naturally beautiful actress in bollywood today (apart from madhuri. she reminds of madhubala…talented, beautiful but yet mysterious. to me that just adds to her allure and beauty. she has her right to privacy, acting is her job not her way of life. while the srk’s and ash’s etc of bollywood are constantly trying to stay in the media eye for fear that they will be forgotten, as they have nothing else to offer, rani is a talented actress secure in herself not to constantly need the media’s attention to increase her value and self worth. the media should be thankful as some of these so-called actors/actresses are simply known for being in the media and nothing else. im glad rani keeps herself to herself as i would hate to see such a beautiful actress become jaded and tarnished by the media. more power to rani for being true to herself and not living up to other peoples expectations. enjoy your family rani for they are there when the curtain goes down, not the media hungry vultures.
SZM is absolutly right a agree on the points,Rani is right to stay away from media. She speaks littel but expresses her feeling in only few words.Family will be with you all the times when in need.Rani you are one in million
