Salman Khan is all set to begin shooting for his first scripted film, this coming August.

Period flick Veer will see Salman Khan play a heroic soldier who struggles with his faith and vocation, after his family are murdered by the very people he has protected all his life.

It has been reported that veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has been given a pivotal role in the film, playing Salman Khan’s father. As the film is set during the British Raj, a number of English actors have been signed.
