Saif does the dirty on old friend Farhan
Saif Ali Khan has done the dirty on the man that revitalised his Bollywood career, Farhan Akhtar.
Saif’s film career was heading nowhere until Farhan Akhtar signed him for Dil Chahta Hai, where Saif’s complete image and look were changed drastically. The role in the film was also critically praised and from thereon, Saif hasn’t looked back. Because of Dil Chahta Hai, Saif has managed to get himself into the big league of stars.
But, when it came for Saif to repay the favour back to Farhan, he decided not to. Farhan asked Saif to guest star in his next production, Voice From The Sky. Saif agreed to the short role but asked for Rs 20 crore. This was way above the budget, plus Farhan was expecting Saif to do the role for free.
According to Farhan’s production partner, Ritesh Siddwani, “These things happen. Leading men do change in the course of finalising the casting of a film. Sometimes dates don’t work out, sometimes money doesn’t work out. We are in talks with some actors and very soon we will finalise the lead man. There’s nothing to worry to worry about. We are rolling on October 1 as per the original plan.”
In some earlier press interviews, Farhan was very excited about working with Saif again. In one newspaper article, he said, “I’m really looking forward to working with Saif after Dil Chahta Hai. He is a fantastic actor and friend and it would be exciting to join up again.”
What are your thoughts on this story… do you feel that Farhan Akhtar has been done the dirty on by Saif Ali Khan and that Saif should have worked with him for old times sake… to pay back for Dil Chahta Hai? So, guys, you see why SRK is KING KHAN, because he does the cameos just for friends….still people cheat them, not giving him proper role, or the item song use it for the promo etc…. anyway we don’t know its true or not, but its a bit unbelievable from Saif Ali Khan side… or may be its true..I think as he is planning to get married with Kareena Kapoor, this is why he needs money, but not in this way…Saif…please…..don’t spoil yourself….
Saif shouldnt have acted this way. dotn want him to do the movie for free but askign for 20 crores is way too much. Agreed that saif has excelled in his career but is way behind star like SRK. I beleive he still has a long way to go but if his behaviour remains the same then i doubt he would succeed anymore.
we should have someone authorizing such comments before they are being posted on the web page because many people deviate from the original topic and start criticising the person to the core.
saif is an arrogant person dont know how people tolerate him but someone tell him what goes around comes around. he makes me sick in the stomach.
