Numero Uno: Mere Maula ( Anwar )
Melody is in vogue again! Even this week the chart toppers are the soulful numbers. Himesh Reshamiyya is no more the only selling proposition in the market. With Guru, Salaam-E-Ishq and now Anwar, softness and melody is a winner all the way. Umrao Jaan stays in the charts with Alka Yagnik’s Salaam. A.R. Rehman’s is again doing well with his Guru which is at the top box. The new entry for the week is Salaam-E-Ishq which has the true Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy feel to it and is expected o move up the charts in the coming weeks.
Raghav’s sole entry is the soft number Yeh Main Ayaa Kahan Hoon which moves down to 7th slot from 4th last week. The whacky title track of Bhagam Bhag sung by Bombay Vikings’ Neeraj Sridhar himself, makes an impressive entry at 6th postition this week. The best album in terms of increasing popularity and the one that you will simply love and swear by is a classic act from industry newcomers Mithoon, Pankaj Awasthi, and Ghunghroo. The track which is at the top slot is Maula Mere Maula which has been crooned by the emaculate industry veteran Roop Kumar Rathod.
