Though the film has a ghost in it, it is not even close to a scary flick. Bhootnath is little about hair raising make-up than a emotional story. There are moments when you’ll laugh, cry and moreover, take the moments back home. Certainly, Bhootnath fills the void of a good film releasing after a long time this year.
The beauty of Bhootnath lies in the script and the narration of the director. Vivek Sharma uses simple means of technology to convey his story which leaves the fruitful impact. The characters are well-etched and more importantly, the casting is perfect. Even the cameo of Shah Rukh Khan lasts for a good long 15 minutes and he is simply brilliant.
On the flip side, the film does not have good music to push its collections forward. Music composers Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani, Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant have not composed a single tune that will remain on the lips once the movie is over.
Apart from that, the pace of the movie could have been better if a few songs would have been edited from the final draft. The cinematography is a thoughtful product.
