EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
The year 2008 has not witnessed any big hit so far and the release of Jimmy has made the list even longer. The film is a co-incidence of brainless crew and a star kid – Mimoh Chakraborty. Apart from the newcomer, there is no one giving the glimpse of a serious performance.
With a lot of hiccups throughout the narration of the suspense thriller, Jimmy is stuck with glossy outlooks, mindless performances and ultimately bad music that hints towards the first impression.
The film has been strangely made by the director who tries out lot of angles to bring forth his age old tacky tale.
Jimmy is young hardworking man who earns his living by working as a DJ in the night and doubling up by studying in the morning. Life makes a sharp cut on his smooth journey and he lands up behind the bars for murdering a woman.
The worst part is that Jimmy has accepted the guilt. Only a little while later does Jimmy realise that he has been trapped and is the jack of a top notch conspiracy. The way in which he cures the disease called crime is Jimmy all about.
