Anushka chosen as Shah Rukh’s girl for Rab Ne…
After weeks of speculation and endless rumours, Yash Raj Films have officially announced the name of the actress to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in (what could be this year’s biggest hit) Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Little known model, 19 year old Anushka Sharma has been chosen for the ‘golden’ part. The teenager is from Bangalore and is thrilled to be paired opposite a much older Shah Rukh Khan. During the last Fashion Week, Anushka was one of the models picked for Wendell Roderick’s finale. Since then she has been doing product endorsements.
Says head of Yash Raj Films, Yash Chopra, “We were looking first and foremost for someone who could truly embody the spirit of small town Punjab and we know we have found her in Anushka Sharma. And while she has no previous acting experience, we have seen that unique spark in her that makes us confident that she will be a standout even opposite Shah Rukh.”
Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and even Kajol were some of the names being touted by the media, before this announcement came to fold.

I think she is so so, Sonam Kapoor was the better choice. This new lady is not having that magnetic face which Deepika has. And working under Yash Raj Banner along with SHAHRUKH is a big deal for her and casting new comer in her next big movie for yash raj is a big deal too.
But let’s see whether she would be able to capture name and fame like deepika after working with SRK or not!!!!
I don’t understand why they did not want Sonam who is so pretty & talented. I do not think casting a newcomer in a yash chopra film sounds interesting. Anyways, I don’t even think this girl is beautiful enough. Sonam would have been the best choice. Now the film doesn’t seem interesting to me… I didn’t Farah casting a newcomer too but luckily Deepika was able to attract the audience but I think directors should stop taking newcomers opposite Superstars like SRK. Then our interest drops. Why don’t they think of Aishwarya with SRK, maybe not for this one but for some other even…It’s high time we see them together!!!

Sonam Kapoor OR maybe Amrita Rao would have been much better ! Amrita looks young and beautiful and Sonam would have been the perfect choice ,because she’s tall , punjabi and pretty!

I was expecting Sonam Kapoor in RNBDJ.This new girl is not that impressive. Yasraj may be thinking this film will be successful as OSO if they take new face.This doesn’t happen always.I like that girl Sonam so much.I am not happy
OMG ! Sonam is not in RNBDJ.Who is this new girl?Sonam is more pretty and experienced than this one.Sonam is tall,slim and also has innocent looks for punjabi village girl.After so much flops ,let’s see the fate of this film.
Why not we give her a chance to prove her acting. For me if just pretty face but zero acting is a waste. Talented star like Kajol even not very pretty but her acting is wow!

they new girl do want to look like Sonam Kapoor. the first time I saw her I was like she look like Sonam. Amrita Rao would have been good because she look young for her age which is good. well I don’t really like new comers with srk but if the role require it then its ok with me but I would have love to see someone with srk that I already know
