Tashan’s second week in UK has seen the film drop even more in the charts as well as being thrashed by a little known Tamil flick.
After a disappointing start, where Tashan failed to make the elusive Top 10, in it’s second week the film fell a massive 5 places. It now resides at number 18, 3 places below new release Tamil film Kuruvi.
Tashan grossed a meagre $110,607 in it’s second weekend, taking it total tally to $586,608. The collections dropped a massive 69.4%, even though the film is still being shown on the same number of screens as last week.
Kuruvi debuted at number 15 with collections of $152,431, and is the latest in a long line of Tamil films making good money in the UK. It has to be taken into consideration that the film has only been released on 13 screens, therefore it’s per screen average is $11,725… second only to the week’s big release Iron Man.
The Sunil Shetty starrer Mr. White Mr. Black failed to shine anywhere as it’s opening stood at $29,852, even though distributors Eros provided immense promotion for it.
The Ajay Devgan directed U Me Aur Hum continues to perform above average, making $13,929 in its 4th week of release. It’s total collections stand at a fantastic $811,670.
