Former Bollywood superstar stormed out of last week’s Zee Cine Awards ceremony in London after he was asked to present the Best Actress award to Kareena Kapoor.
The man with the high pitch voice and unique style was initially told that he would be presenting an award to Shah Rukh Khan for Best Actor. However, he was later told that there had been a change in the plan and he would now award Kareena Kapoor instead. He wasn’t happy about this and packed up his belongings and left the arena, half an hour before the proceedings came to a close, and even refused to attend the after-show party. Shatrughan expressed that he was a ‘big’ star and that he would only present the big award. He was even more dismayed when it came to his attention that the Best Actor award was to be presented by fellow actress Rekha.
Shatrughan Sinha was replaced by Govinda, who came on stage at the last minute to hand the trophy to Kareena Kapoor. Kareena had won the award for her role in Jab We Met.
