Trouble on sets of Dilli 6, Amitabh helps out

Director Rakeysh Mehra had to obtain the services of Amitabh Bachchan to help out when a disagreement occurred between him and Amitabh’s son Abhishek on the sets of Dilli 6.

Abhishek wasn’t happy about a few scenes and wanted them to be altered. But, Rakeysh wanted to continue as planned. According to a source, “The rift between Abhishek and Rakeysh started when Abhishek began to give his inputs on matters of props, dialogues and shots while enacting scenes. Rakeysh, who is known to hold his scripts close to his heart, didn’t quite appreciate the gesture. He would hardly speak to Abhishek once we packed up for the day.”

Things worsened to such extent that Abhishek’s father Amitabh Bachchan had to intervene. “Bachchan Sr has a guest appearance in the film. He sorted out the differences between the two and got them together,” says the source.

In the film Abhishek plays an NRI who returns to India to trace his roots and look after his ailing grandmother. During his stay in Delhi, he falls in love with his neighbour and gets involved in the Monkeyman hysteria.
