After working in Abbas-Mustan’s 36 China Town and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate, upcoming actor Payal Rohatgi has bagged another film – Priyadarshan’s Dhol.
The film is being produced by Percept Picture Company and stars Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Tanushree Dutta, Om Puri and Rajpal Yadav.
“It is a very glamorously-styled character and has an equal dose of emotional quotient. I am paired opposite Arbaaz Khan,” says Payal, who has been shooting for the film in Pune.
“I am very excited at being a part of a comedy. The role is very interesting and I am enjoying myself. I have missed my Kathak riyaz during shoots, but acting gives me an equal high,” she adds.
Payal’s Bollywood debut was with producer Harry Baweja’s Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai. However, she went unnoticed in the multi-starrer. She shot into the limelight with Tauba Tauba. In 2006, she appeared in the critically acclaimed Corporate where, ironically, she played the part of an item girl named Payal who sleeps her way to success.
