Priyanka dyes her hair red for Harman
Priyanka Chopra’s sci-fi flick Love Story 2050 is set in the future but it has nothing do with Star Trek, the director has said.
Talking to an Indian daily, Harry Baweja director of the film, says, “We spent more than six months trying to figure out the right look of the characters. The idea was to give them a look that people could imagine and relate to in the future. We didn’t want them resembling aliens or looking as if they’ve landed from Star Trek. The film is set in the future, but it’s not about space travel.”
It has also been reported that Priyanka Chopra has had her hair dyed red to fit into the character. “For Priyanka, it’s hard-edged fashion with a soft touch. The look is very sporty, yet high fashion and feminine. The dress is made out of lace with lycra that has been specially imported from Milan. We kept in mind the fact that in the future, people will have really well-toned bodies, so well-fitted garments would definitely be in,” says Theo the designer of the costumes.
The film’s debutante hero Harman Baweja has also been given a futuristic look. “We kept in mind his action sequences and gave him a sleek, yet believable look. Also, we played around a lot with his accessories right from biker robotic boots to gloves with different textures,” she added.
Love Story 2050 is expected to be released later this year and is one of the most awaited movies of the year because of its futuristic story.
