Katrina out and Deepika in for Welcome sequel
Top name filmmaker Firoz Nadiadwala has decided to cash in on his 2007 money vehicle Welcome, by making a sequel.
Akshay Kumar will once again reprise his role while Katrina Kaif may only be restricted to a guest appearance. It has been rumoured that Deepika Padukone is being lined up in her place for the lead female part. Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar will be getting more screen space as their comedy chemistry has gone down well with viewers. Mallika Sherawat is expected to get a much meatier story this time around.
The Akshay Kumar starrer, which has just gone over 100 days at the Box Office, was one of only a few hits last year. Not only has it made money at home, but its sheer strength has been noticed overseas too.
