As he announces Aishwarya Majmudar as the winner of Amul Star Voice of India’s Chhote Ustaad, Juhi Chawla, Malaika Arora Khan, Isha Koppikar.
Mumbai, Saturday, April 5th: Amidst much pomp and splendour, Star TV proudly announced Aishwarya Majmudar from Ahmedabad as the nation’s first Chhote Ustaad. After 4 months of grueling practice sessions and overcoming innumerable challenges from the toughest of competiors, Aishwarya emerged as the winner in a star studded event held at Goregaon Sports Complex, Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan after the much fan-fare and moments of suspense disclose…and “Amul Star Voice Chhote Ustaad is my bahu Aishwarya”.
Her parents looked on proudly as Aishwarya accepted the much awaited Amul Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad Trophy from Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan as actress Juhi Chawla announced her name.She was also presented an exclusive singing contract from BIG music. Also she received a Music scholarship from LIC and Star Plus declared an amount of 10 lac for the winner and FIVE lac for the runners up. Even Anvesha was presented with a LIC music scholarship of three lac.
However, needless to say this journey to the top has not been an easy one. It all began in December 2007 when 12 of the most sensational child singers were chosen by the AMUL Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad team after auditions in different cities like Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur etc. to compete on this platform. Through five exciting months of this musical tussle, the show has seen heated competition between the best singing talents in the industry through unforgettable moments of joy, sorrow, etc. The show has been judged by the best talents in the industry like Pritam Chakraborty, Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Ghoshal and hosted by Abhaas Joshi (A Voice of India participant) who have mentored and constantly extended their support and advice to the participants. Viewer voting did result in many shocks and surprises and tearful moments on the show. Many were unexpectedly voted out of the competition like Jayant Chouhan, Areeb Khan only to arrive at the best that the industry could ever have.
Amul Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad has seen many celebrities gracing the show. Bollywood glitterati; a few to name like Bipasha Basu, Rani Mukherjee, Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif etc. have been all praises for the budding singers on the show. These celebrities have encouraged, supported and blessed the children in their endeavour and have been all praises for their achievement at such a young age. Some of them like Alka Yagnik have not been able to resist giving away gifts to laud the flawless performances by the participants.
This competition has been a good platform for many participants to showcase their talent and also get adviced by the best talents in the industry who wer present to judge the show. It has been a special experience for every participant on the show as well as the Amul Star Voice of India Chhote Ustaad team.
This has definitely been a new beginning, a new exposure to the lives of all the participants on the show. Star Plus wishes all these singers of tomorrow all the best for a bright future!!!
