Akshay to take on Shah Rukh on TV
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to become the greatest of all time. He is already churning out hit after hit at the cinema, has decided to promote a leading Cricket team, and now has turned his eyes to the small screen.
Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan have already joined the Television bandwagon and now the Khiladi is to do the same… but this time HE is the one being paid the MOST. Much more than the rest of them! He will present a reality show on the soon-to-be launched Hindi entertainment channel from Viacom 18 and will be paid Rs. 1.5 crore per episode. Shah Rukh Khan is being paid Rs 75 lakh per episode for his soon-to-be-launched Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hai? on Star Plus. Amitabh Bachchan used to fetch Rs 50 lakh per episode for Kaun Banega Crorepati?
The format of the show will be similar to Fear Factor but here only hot Bollywood actresses will be participants. Akshay will be performing stunts as part of the programme, something which he is always eager to do.
Akshay had a brief Television career, four years ago, when he hosted a martial arts show Seven Deadly Arts for National Geographic. The seven-part series took viewers on a journey through the world of martial arts.
Says a source, “Akshay has already confirmed that he will host it. He found the show’s profile just right for his image. As he is currently the highest paid star, he is also getting a fee to match his screen stature making him the highest paid television anchor as well.”
Your thoughts on this…

There is no rivalry or competition from Akshay Kumar’s side, one cannot say the same for his colleagues!! Everyone should have a chance, TV and Films are not for just one ACTOR or ACTRESS! If the directors of the show and Viacom 18 felt he suited this role for host as he is the NUMER ONE IN ACTION we support him!
i like him but he shouldnt join everyone else!! shouldnt be a follower
Then SRK is a follower becasue Mr. Bachchan was the first on to do a tv reality show. We need to look at it from a professional level. Everyone in Bollywood in that case is a follower…but the question is who followed who??? Same with TV shows???
Burn Burn radiosargam burn… I wonder why you didn’t mention SRK fees per episode of KBC3 hahhahahahahaha
Now all monkeys can join TV but no one has SRK wits, sharpness and most of all excellent communication skills.
The man is also a succesfull business man while Ab and akshays can only dance. Khehheheheheh
THERES NO RIVALRY AT ALLL SO STOP YELLOW JOURNALISM! all the bollywood heroes ROCK N MAY THEY CONTINUE TO!
Well said Patie. Stop the comparisons, he’s this, he’s that. No one in bollywood possesses all the traits, some are strong in certain ones will other lack in others. This is the balance of life! Each excels within own realm and attributes!!!
To bhajphori!
SRK was the first actor in a tv-serial in todays actors(fujju)thats where he got his lime light.get your facts right buddy!
The first actor to get into televison was AB hosting KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI. He opened doors for all these stars today.
Before no big star would ever dare do a show on TV..
Today its become common thanks to AB.
Mr. Bachchan was the first to host a TV reality show! We are not refering to who was where and what on tv…it was a serial back then. But to host a show, like Mr. Amjad said Big B was the first to open doors for others. We should always follow our elders!
Bhajpuri AB was the first to do world concerts as well. This actually happened in the early 80s. No star before had ever gone abroad to do a concert in front of thousands of people. He was the pioneer of that phenomenon as well.
Today we hear of stars doing shows abroad this is again thanks to AB who opened doors for the stars that came after him.
