Deepika brought down to earth in Bangkok
New Bollywood glamour girl Deepika Padukone has been brought down to earth while shooting in Bangkok.
The actress is in that part of the world with fellow actor Akshay Kumar for the filming of Chandni Chowk To China. She has been given residence in the Grand Sukhumvit Hotel along with the rest of the cast and crew. However, Akshay Kumar is being put up at the gallant Four Seasons Hotel which is a cut above any other hotels in Bangkok. Even the room rates per night are double to Grand Sukhumvit. During the shooting of her debut flick Om Shanti Om, Deepika was treated as royalty. According to a source from the sets, “Even director Nikhil is staying at Grand Sukhumvit, but it must be embarrassing that the leading lady is not in the same hotel as the leading man.”
Deepika was not happy about this and did complain at first, wanting her hotels to be changed. However, she then told Indian daily Mid-Day, “I am not upset. As far as I know, I am in a five-star hotel and it’s the same hotel that Nikhil, the producers and the rest of the crew is also staying in. It’s the Grand Sukhumvit. I am very comfortable and happy. I am being well taken care of.”
