Aamir Khan will finally accept an award
Aamir Khan will at last attend an award’s ceremony it has been announced.
The director turned actor has won the Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial Foundation award for the Best Debut Director (Taare Zameen Par) and will travel to Chennai on August 15th to collect it. This award comes with a cash sum of Rs 1.5 lakh which Aamir will also receive. Jury members Kamal Hassan and director Singitam Srinivasa decided the award.
The Gollapudi Srinivas Memorial foundation award was set-up by Telugu writer Gollapudi Maruthi Rao in memory of his late son Srinivas. This is the first time a Bollywood film has won such an award.
